Acoustic, electric and bass guitar — private lessons for beginners through gigging players, in person or online.
Guitar students arrive with a specific song in their head. Good instruction respects that. We teach the fundamentals that make everything else possible — clean chord changes, a reliable strumming hand, scales that go somewhere musically — while keeping a student working on music they actually want to play.
We cover acoustic and electric guitar, plus electric bass. Beginners start with chords, timing and the unglamorous mechanics of fretting cleanly. From there: lead technique, improvisation, playing with other people, and reading well enough to sit in on something unfamiliar.
Instruction here is performance-based, and that comes from experience on stage rather than theory about it. One family found the studio exactly that way: “I met Caleb when his band performed at a local venue and looked him up when searching for a performance-based teacher.” Playing in front of people, keeping time with other musicians, and recovering when something goes wrong mid-song are teachable skills, and they are part of lessons.
Guitar draws a wide range of students. Younger players usually need short, concrete wins — a recognizable riff by the end of the lesson. Teens often arrive with strong opinions about what they want to sound like, which is genuinely useful raw material. Adults are frequently returning to an instrument they set down years ago and are surprised how quickly it comes back. All three are welcome, and all three get lessons built around them rather than a fixed curriculum.
There is no enrollment fee and the first trial lesson is free. Lessons run in person at our studio on Cross Timbers Road in Flower Mound, or online over Zoom, with flexible scheduling. Students who also want to read and understand what they are playing can add music theory, and school players can prepare entries for UIL Solo & Ensemble. We teach students from Flower Mound, Lewisville, Bartonville, Lantana, Argyle, Highland Village, Coppell and Denton.

Yes. Electric bass lessons are offered, and we also teach upright double bass for orchestra students.
